Project Description:
This HIA examined the proposed redevelopment of the Edison Eastlake Community’s public housing in Phoenix. As part of the national Choice Neighborhoods Initiative, the City of Phoenix received a planning grant to develop a transformation plan for the housing, neighborhood and people in EEC. To further the health and well being of the residents in the EEC, this HIA developed policy, infrastructure and programmatic recommendations around four key health priorities: thriving and resilient communities, quality affordable food, quality environment, and active, safe neighborhoods.
